Consumer health data privacy policy
Effective and last updated:
This policy explains how Antar Labs LLC collects, uses, and shares consumer health data through Plus One. It also describes your rights under applicable consumer health privacy laws, including Washington's My Health My Data Act.
Health data we collect and why
The information you share with Plus One, and the observations we make from it, may reveal details about your health. We collect and use the following categories:
- Meal descriptions, food photos, identified foods, food-group records, meal times and contexts, chosen additions, and journal notes. We use these to record and sync meals and provide food analysis and suggestions.
- Hunger and fullness ratings, eating patterns, and generated observations about meals. We use these to show your history and produce meal-pattern insights.
- Dietary preferences and selected goals, including allergy-related preferences and interests relating to digestion, blood sugar, weight, menopause, hormonal changes, or GLP-1 medication support. We use them to tailor the features you request.
- Health-related content you choose to include in coach messages, food-suggestion requests, surveys, or support correspondence. We use it to respond to the request.
- Account information linked to your entries, so we can keep your information available to you and protect access to it.
We do not collect Apple Health records, precise device location, or biometric identifiers, or track visits to healthcare facilities.
Sources of health data
We collect health-related information from the preferences, meals, photos, ratings, messages, and support requests you provide. We also create observations from those entries, such as food analysis and meal patterns. We do not obtain health records from healthcare providers or buy health information from data brokers.
Consent and control
You can edit your profile and delete meals in the app. You have the right to give or withhold consent where applicable law requires it for the collection or sharing of health data. Accepting our Terms of Service does not waive that right.
To withdraw consent or ask us to stop a particular use, email support@antar.dev. Features that depend on the information may become unavailable. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing.
Access, deletion, and appeals
Where applicable consumer health privacy law provides these rights, you may ask whether we collect, share, or sell your health data; access that data; obtain a list of relevant third-party and affiliate recipients and contact details; withdraw consent; and request deletion. We do not sell health data.
Send your request to support@antar.dev with the subject "Plus One health data request." We may verify your identity before disclosing or deleting information. You can also delete your account from the You tab by selecting "Delete my account." Contact us to request deletion of records held separately by service providers.
We respond within the applicable legal deadline and explain any permitted extension or denial. When required, we pass deletion requests to processors and other recipients and apply deletion requirements to backups. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision or emailing us with "Health data appeal" in the subject. We will provide a written response and reasons.
If a Washington appeal is denied, you may submit a complaint through the Washington Attorney General's complaint process. You may also contact the regulator in your state or region. Exercising your rights will not result in unlawful discrimination.
