Membership, trial and billing

Plus One is a membership. Monthly and annual plans are sold through Apple, and eligible new subscribers get a 7-day free trial. The price and any offer appear on the subscription screen before you confirm with the App Store.

Cancel or change a plan

Open iPhone Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Plus One. You can also use Manage subscription in the You tab. Plans renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period or trial ends. Deleting the app or your Plus One account doesn't cancel an Apple subscription. Apple's own guide: cancel a subscription from Apple.

Refunds

Apple handles billing and refund requests for App Store purchases. Ask at reportaproblem.apple.com. We can't issue refunds ourselves.

Restore a purchase

If Plus One shows the subscription screen after you've paid, tap Restore in its header, or Restore purchases in the You tab.

  • Make sure the App Store is signed in to the Apple Account used for the purchase.
  • Make sure you're signed in to Plus One with the same Apple or Google account as before.
  • If access doesn't return, email us with the app version and the message shown.

Find your account

Plus One signs in with Apple or Google. There are no passwords. On the first screen, tap "I've used Plus One before" and choose the account you used last time. Give the app a moment online to restore your profile and meals. If photos are still arriving, reopen the app on a stable connection.

Delete your account and meals

In the You tab, open How your data is handled and choose Delete my account and meals. A connection is needed to delete cloud data. If deletion fails, your local data stays available so you can try again.

Deletion removes your account, profile, saved meals and images from our active systems and clears meal and profile information on that phone. If you signed in with Apple, Plus One also asks Apple to disconnect Sign in with Apple for the app.

Usage and crash reports already received by our providers are not deleted automatically. Email us and we'll arrange it, as the privacy policy describes. Deleting your account doesn't cancel an Apple subscription; see above.

Meal reads, SOS and the coach

Before the first read, Plus One asks permission to send your photo or description, your goal and your dietary preferences to a third-party AI service (Google Gemini, through our server). Whatever you type into SOS or the coach goes the same way. It's used to answer you, never to train anything, and never sold.

AI suggestions can miss things. Tap a corner on the read to correct the protein, fiber and fat shown for your meal. If a read can't finish, mark the plate yourself and log it anyway.

Images labeled "Illustration made by AI" are generated pictures, not photos of what you ate.

AI features share a fair-use limit of 30 requests a day per account, covering meal reads, SOS, the coach, weekly patterns and illustrations. It resets daily. Manual logging and the built-in SOS ideas keep working when the limit is reached. Coach conversations aren't saved.

Privacy choices

In the You tab, How your data is handled holds the switches for Share app usage and Share crash reports, both on by default. Share app interactions, a masked screen recording with text, images and sensitive screens hidden, stays off until you turn it on, and shows a Stop control while it runs.

Plus One shows no ads, doesn't sell your information, and doesn't read your Apple Health records, contacts, microphone or precise location.

The full documents: Privacy policy, Consumer health data privacy and Terms of service.

Plus One and your health

Plus One is educational. It does not provide medical advice or treatment for eating disorders.

If food feels scary right now, you deserve real support. These folks are good at it: National Eating Disorders Association and Eating Disorder Hope.

Report a bug

Tell us your app version (the You tab, under About), your iPhone model and iOS version, what you tapped, and what you expected instead. Screenshots help. You don't need to send meal photos or health details. Emails started from inside the app already carry the version, build and device.
